For optimal performance and to maintain eligibility for the Lifetime Engine Warranty, regular servicing and repairs at authorized GAC dealers are required, using only genuine GAC parts and lubricants. With this warranty, you’re not just investing in a vehicle but in a legacy of enduring performance and confidence on the road. PRESERVING THE LIFETIME ENGINE WARRANTY

The lifetime engine warranty applies:

1. To the original owner of the GAC vehicle.
2. To GAC vehicles that are serviced, repaired and maintained at workshops of authorized GAC dealers.
3. On the use and fitment of original spare parts, including lubricants and accessories.
4. To GAC vehicles that have not missed a service interval or were within the allowed tolerance of 1,500km or 30 calendar days outside of the due date for service.
5. On a traceable service history on the authorized GAC dealer network systems. Please take note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the service records including the endorsement of the service booklet in your GAC vehicle is up to date at all times, in particular when you carry out a service of your GAC vehicle.
6. Over and above the 5 year / 150,000km engine warranty that comes standard on your GAC vehicle.

VOIDING THE LIFETIME ENGINE WARRANTY

The lifetime engine warranty will be voided if the following occurs:

1. If your GAC vehicle is used as a public conveyance (taxi, Uber or similar), security vehicle or emergency response vehicle or similar and towing activities that fall outside of the permissible towing capacity of your GAC vehicle.
2. If your GAC vehicle is used for any type of motorsport or adventure sport or off roading.
3. If your GAC vehicle is used for any unlawful or illegal activities.
4. If your GAC vehicle is serviced or repaired by service and/or repair workshops that are not authorized to conduct services and/or repairs on GAC vehicles.
5. On the fitment of any spare parts and accessories that are not genuine or approved by GAC Motor.
6. On the use of inferior or non-approved lubricants.
7. On damage to the engine of your GAC vehicle caused by low levels of lubricant and/or coolant and/or anti freeze and/or hydraulic fluid levels.
8. If the service interval is missed completely or does not fall within the permitted tolerance.
9. If you are unable to verify the service and repair history of your GAC vehicle in the event of a dispute.
10. On non-approved modifications to the engine of your GAC vehicle.
11. On any alteration of the odometer reading of your GAC vehicle.
12. Other similar events or incidents as may be applicable in the automotive industry.

ADDITIONAL POINTS TO NOTE

1. GAC Motor’s liability under the lifetime engine warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of spare parts to correct any material defect or defective manufacturing workmanship in the engine of the GAC vehicle. The engine of the GAC vehicle will be replaced at the sole and absolute discretion of GAC Motor after efforts to repair the engine of the GAC vehicle have not succeeded.

2. All repairs and replacements of an engine in a GAC vehicle will be carried out at an authorized GAC dealer.

3. In the event that GAC Motor rejects your claim based on the lifetime engine warranty, you are at liberty to lodge a dispute and follow the process outlined below on dispute resolution.

4. You are required to state in full detail the nature of your claim and allow GAC Motor reasonable time to investigate your dispute.

5. You are required to provide full details such as: the nature of the problem that has caused the engine to fail, the use of the GAC vehicle, full details of the ownership of the GAC vehicle, full details of the service history of the GAC vehicle, including the fitment of spare parts and accessories and use of lubricants, whether the GAC vehicle was used for motorsport or for public conveyance and the like together with all information and documentation necessary to adjudicate the voiding or possible voiding of the lifetime engine warranty and the claim associated therewith.

6. The dispute will be dealt with in an efficient and fair manner and the decision of GAC Motor will be final and binding on you.

7. To the maximum extent permissible by law, you will not have any claim against GAC Motor for any loss or damage, including loss of profit, inconvenience, loss of your GAC vehicle use, vehicle rental expense and/or travel and/or accommodation and/or food cost, storage charges and any other direct or indirect loss or damage, whether incidental or consequential while the GAC vehicle is at an authorized GAC dealer or repair centre.

8. GAC Motor reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions as the business requirements of GAC Motor dictate without prior notice to you.
